Vietnam -- HiFiveJellyfish!

in summary, the vietnam trip is just sooodamnawesome!
we slept less than 15 hours in 5 days!

31/5/10 - Monday - Day 1
i woke up at 5.15am.
cuz needed to be at airport by 7.15am.
siao right!?
flight is at TEN O CLOCK.

i rushed around trying to remember last minute things,
then eenexx msg me and told me to prepare and she will be reaching soon.
(her dad's coming to pick me up)
then she reached.
then i went down.
so they were kinda like waiting for me by the back of the white car.

i lugged my luggage and slung my bag over my shoulder,
and heave ho..
placed my bag into the boot (?) ,
and off we go!

the ride was kinda long... 45 mins?
msged goodbyes here and there,
and remembered.
the night before,
SOMEONE asked me to take care of EENEXX.
normally you tell somebody that you are going overseas with your schmates and not with parents, they will tell you to take care of yourself and etc etc..
but NOOOO.... in this case,
EENEXX is his main priority.
so sweet ~

reached airport,
met pekwen,
then walked towards the group of blue shirt ppl.
FYI we were wearing blue shirts too.

met up with jeffery.
then everyone was walking around and talking and moving and,
its just kinda chaotic.
there were parents in out midst,
and ALL of us were waiting for Leminh.
the LAST ONE THAT HAVENT ARRIVED.

then we collected our luggage tag,
and our human tag,
we checked in.
i got the plane seat 60C.
meaning near the window.
Eenexx got 60B,
cuz she's right after me.
which means the window seat goes to..
PEKWEN!!
60A.

went through the the bag check there,
eenexx de scissors kena found.
lol she forgot it was there.
but... her penknife wasnt found -.-"
need to fill up some form,
then finally,
BOARD THE PLANE!!.
watched a jap movie on the plane,
forgot what le -.-"
then finally we reached HANOI.

we grabbed our luggages,
me and eenexx and pekwen
followed cher out to the public area there.
then met this person called Paul that's supposed to be our guide for this whole trip.
like Coach Bey Yan.

board the bus that took us out of the airport area there.
keep taking pics of the ppl around us.
especially Eugene and Jeffery there.
first we went to the Hanoi Heritage Hotel.
to leave our luggage at the lobby.

then we went to the History Museum.
DAMN HOTTT SIOL the weather.
keep complaining. then coach BeyYan scold.
went back to the hotel for dinner,
and that's when i really found my clique.

Eenexx, Winni, Pekwen, Jeffery, Eugene, WeiFeng, WengKiat, and moi

we random choose table to sit,
and found each other.
(wth sounds so cheesy)

the food was..
ALL VEGETABLES.
and i ladled it out to them.
waitress -.-"
then finished the food le..
jiu go back to hotel for reflection.
then sleep.

1/6/10 - Tuesday - Day 2
woke up kinda early,
and everyone left for HoaBinh!
the trip took about 3 hours and almost everyone slept on the bus.
sleep until so shiok somemore.
hor wengkiat & eugene?

went to the hydrosmth dam.
and its HUGE.
damn warm lo..
then gotta explore and see here see there. Paul's son almost gave us a heart attack.
he sat on the wall,
and if he falls from that wall,
he will drop more than 3 km, and finally going "splat!"
on the road.
the wall, on our side, is just about a few meters tall.
but on the otherside,
its the top of a cliff.
a dead drop.
soo... the boy sat there,
and was looking at the scenery we us all watching.
then he lowered himself off the wall.
on. the. other. side.

i think almost everyone on the bus screamed.
heart attack siol..
then everyone slacked on the bus awhile.

then we went to HoaBinh Hotel.
Wengkiat pro siol..
managed to convince ms parvarthy to let us all stay near each other.
but poor eugene and jeffery.
have to stay at room 100+ while the rest is at 80+.
me and eenexx at room 86,
while winni and pekwen is at room 84
then wengkiat and weifeng is at room 82,
then ms parwarthy is at 80.

then we went to our own rooms,
explored a bit,
and realised that my room is full of GAPS that lead to..
the WILDERNESS.

that means, alot of bugs will be visiting us in our sleep.
IF we stay in that room.
bleh.

pekwen and winni is staying right next to us,
so we can just shout over and communicate.
there's no need for the phone.
kinda.

after exploring the room and screaming over every bug we saw,
eenexx and i went over to pekwen and winni's room.
then all 8 of us met and went to the lobby together.

cheeying was kinda behind me..
and was trying VEERRRYYY hard not to look back.
i nv saw him laugh before.
and hearing his laugh kinda intrigued me.
well, he nv did laugh during tuition.
although there was some kind of a joke going around.

everyone boarded the bus,
and in 45 mins,
we reached the youth center.

there were ALOT of vietnamese students.
and they totally crowd into the hall after us.
and WOW they prepared tables around the center of the hall.
kinda like Parliament arrangement.
we sat, 3 ppl to 1 table.
and...
cheeying, haikal, and mingkang was sitting right in front of me, eenexx and winni.
totally DID NOT STARE.
cheeying is sitting across the hall,
fingers in between each other and resting his head on his hands in a very Professor Dumbledore manner.
i DIDNT STARE,
i DIDNT LOOK,
and i most definitely,
DID NOT OGLE AT HIM like the vietnamese girls behind me =.=

and i also DID NOT TAKE SECRET PHOTOS OF HIM.
yucks.
he just makes me curious with his kinda split personality.
im a curious person okay!

after mingling with the kids there,
and after dragging haikal to meet a group of girls that specially wanted to meet him
(which is after running all over the place trying to pull him towards the group),
we boarded the bus,
to DINNER!!

dinner was at another part of Hoabinh Hotel
and it was REALLY HOT.
vegetables again for dinner.
actually, its vegetables for EVERY MEAL.

then after dinner we are allowed to go back to our rooms to bathe.
after bathing, we have to meet for the reflections thingy.
just below the lunch area.
there was a LOT of bugs.
i keep running away.
then everyone must stand up and say stuff.
my turn that time,
(FYI cheeying was about 2 rows infront of me)
i stood up,
then he look behind,
then i dunno what to say liao.
stun for 2 seconds,
then faster say then sit down.

then waited for Coach to finish talking,
then we all troop into pekwen's room
and started playing and weifeng started dancing and etc..

then me and eenexx decided to sleep after a while of playing.
we told the guys that if we scream,
please go to our room to get rid of the bug for us thank you very muchie :D

we lay in bed after saying goodnight to each other.
then eenexx say: " i think there's a beetle in my mosquito net."
then quickly got out and we shared a bed instead.
but after eenexx lifted my mosquito net,
she look up,
draw in breath,
i look up,
draw in breath,
" KYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAA~!!! "
there was a BEE above my mosquito net.
you can totally hear the buzzing.

faster run onto my bed,
and
" THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP "
the boys (except weifeng) came thundering from their room to ours.
i take deep breath,
run out from the net,
open the door,
and chiong back in.

then we explained the situation to them,
jeffery and wengkiat was standing on the bed and looking on top of the net,
and eugene was climbing the table beside the bed.
wow so touched.
care so much.
after scouting around the bed,
that damn bee was never found.
me and eenexx got so scared,
that we asked eugene to sleep in eenexx's bed.
and she'll share with me.

then they went back to room 84 to chat and play,
leaving me and eenexx.
i guess she's really tired,
as i can kinda feel her consciousness slipping away.

okay not really.

then i sleep for about 30 mins,
then i totally cant sleep liao.
lay in bed,
hear eenexx sleep,
and hear the ppl over next door laugh.
they were debating who to send over to sleep in our room.
weifeng sure cant de.
he come,
we all die.
he scream,
eenexx scream,
i scream.
all die together.
then ms parvarthy wake up.

then,
it rained.

2/6/10 - Wednesday - Day 3
the rain stopped
then we went to have breakfast.
it was bread.
and butter.
and jam.
and cheese.
and dunno what la.

and then we went to the youth center.
sat at where we sat on the previous day,
except that we will have to split into groups.
3 actually.
the Music and Arts group,
the English group,
and the Decorations group.

im in the english group.
then speech and games abit after we reach the hall,
then must split into your group le.
our group got the least ppl de.
and the most students to handle.
WTF.

then pekwen and haikal were writing and drawing on the board.
all about singapore.
ahhahaha!!
then the rest of us have to keep the kids occupied.
the secondary kids are okay,
the primary gals are angels,
the primary boys are evil little devils that wants to have fun.

they totally dont wanna listen to anything we say.
even their cher pull their ears they also run away.
devils.
then i have an idea.

HOKEY POKEY!!

they will LOVE IT.
then wengkiat say he will sacrifice his 3 tablets of sweets.
to be prices of the best hockey pokey dancer.
and i have to be the damn lead.

i got to sing and dance infront of them.
the world had sooooo gone wrong.
and cheeying was sitting there and staring.
oh great my life is at its worst.

apparently, the kids there dun really know from left to right.
great.

then lunch.
lunch was at their canteen.
the food sucks.
like always.
but must be grateful.

then we went to this room that looks like out AV theater,
but is all flat ground de.
no creaky chairs on the steps.
there arent any steps at all.
only chairs.

then everyone was like exhausted.
falling asleep lo everyone.
i gathered 3 chairs,
and lie down and,
SLEEP.
sleep for about 2 hours.
in total la.
about somewhere in the middle,
i heard weifeng talking.
and eenexx laughing.

so i open eyes awhile.
i hear weifeng said: " i want to take picture of ms parvarthy sleeping but i scared... Ho Chi Minh staring at me!!" then everyone around laughed.
including me.
then i sleep back -.-"

then i woke up,
damn groggy.
but its time to go back to the hall.
i realised that most ppl were sleeping.

then we went back,
blah blah blah
talk about singapore,
talk about vietnam,
then time to mingle again.

then me an eenexx were sitting on the chairs at our VIP table,
the suddenly a new born mouse dropped from the ceiling.
(by newborn i mean still red and covered in the yucky gooey stuff)
straight to the floor.
its feet was still moving and ppl just walk over it.
so poor thing.
we told Leminh, then he told the director of the Youth Center.

The director picked up a piece of plastic sheet from the ground,
walked towards the newborn mouse,
picked it up,
and squashed its neck.
OMFG THAT PERSON DOESNT HAVE A HEART!!
then me and eenexx were greatly traumatized.
eww.

went back to the hotel for dinner,
then can go back and bathe.
then must go back to the eating area,
cuz there's this performance about some harvest dance thingy de la.
the kids from the youth center came too!

mingkang keep: " seen chao! "
cuz it means hello in vietnamese.
he keep repeating that again and again. -.-"

then we went back to room 84.
all 8 of us slept there.
we sleep at around 12am,
planning to wake up at 3am to play and pack,
then set 3 alarms.

3/6/10 - Thursday - Day 4
then the next thing i knew after lights out,
was ms parvarthy banging on the door or of room 82.
i jumped up and: " SHIT!! "
then eenexx woke up after me.
3 secs later,
ms parvarthy banged on 84's door.
which is the room we are in.
i opened.
then eugene and the rest jumped awake.
we have 5 minutes to board the bus.
CRAP.

then we rushed back to out respective rooms,
and packed.
lucky for my room.
not messy.
just a change of clothes,
and quick wash up,
zip up my luggage,
and im ready to go.
returned the room key,
and board the bus.
finally.

then we went back to Hanoi!!
then we went to this museum thingy,
see the old houses and stuff,
kinda interesting.
the climb up the old house was really scary.
damn steep.
come down worse.
and it was REALLY HOTT!!
i no time to tie hair ma :D

then went to the supermarket.
buy tibits,
noodles and etc etc for party back in the hotel room.
then we went to Bat Trang ceremic factory.
there we painted on plates that we can bring back.
i sort of painted mine :D
but its damn nice!!

back in Hanoi hotel,
we got back room 310!!
of cuz is the guys la.
me and eenexx got 309.
which is equally as big.
but we dont have a queen sized bed.

we all go room 310,
and invited Coach BEY YAN!!
we had fun,
with truth or dare,
standard de.
and murderer.
*grinning like hell*
i was the only murderer that managed to kill 2 ppl :D
but why on earth did i wink at eugene!?
(winking is the method of killing)
he's the damn police. -.-"
i got shot.

then wengkiat wanna go sleep.
so random fall on 1 bed and faint.
then eenexx say she wanna go sleep.
then i pei her go back to the room and sleep.
and we dragged wengkiat too.

we brought him to our room and gang raped him.
JOKE!!!
we dragged him to our room so he can sleep in peace.
so me and eenexx shared a bed.
again.

4/6/10 - Friday - Day 5
we slept from 2am to 4am,
then we went back to 310 and told the rest they can go sleep le.
but we were still so damn tired.

so left me and wengkiat and eenexx awake.
the blanket on the floor suddenly look damn comfortable.
me and eenexx lie on the blanket and before we knew it,
we fell asleep.
i vaguely remember wenkiat putting a pillow under my head.
aww.
thanks wengkiat.

and he fell asleep.
but thank goodness we woke up at 8,
when we need to wake up at 9.
we all packed and troop downstairs for breakfast.
there only got inderjit, parvarthy, siva, and rose.

then after breakfast we went up to Bey Yan's room to disturb her.
then all go back down.
then we board the bus,
and leave the hotel for the airport.
