Zombie vs Zombie

Well, since i got expelled from TP and appeal isnt successful, i thought i'd work while i think things thru.

I've already decided to go back to study and get a diploma instead of staying with an Os cert, since Os are not recognised overseas. And i can use that diploma as an umbrella in case of bad weather.
I know its not as thick as a degree cert, buts thats as far as im willing to go. No more studying.

While working, I cant help but compare working life and studying life.
Theres quite a few things to compare to, since i've had more than 1 job ever since my holiday from school, which turned out to be permanent.
( for just TP )

So far, i had 3 jobs and i am considering sending in my resume for a another. And quitting the current one.

In total, i prefer my working life now, but i hate my job. The current one. Which is being an assistant accountant. For a restaurant.
Pretty ironic right? Considering that i got expelled because i failed accounting for hospitality and tourism twice.
Im basically doing the job that requires me to use everything i learnt in a failed module.

First job i had since September.
- BHG Cashier.
- Japanese student guide (current)
- Assistant accountant (current)

*mainly comparing school and accountant job unless specified*

WAKING UP:
Both working life and studying life requires me to wake up early.
And i hate mornings.
I literally had to drag myself off my bed EVERY single time.
But its worse when i know i dont get money for going to school.

PREPARING:

School- "omg what should i wear that doesnt scream at ppl to judge me?"

Work- "fuck this shit. Anything is fine. Its office anyways. "

School- "did i bring everything i need to attend class?"

Work- "what do i need for my emtertainment on the mrt?"

TRAVELLING:

Snoozing on the circle line to work is definitely more comfortable than squeezing with smelly salary men that breathe down your necks and stare at you like they want you to give up your standing spot for them.

And actually, while going to school, i always stood on the left side of the escalators. Even when im running late.
Cuz i dont actually care. I think. Maybe except when i've been late twice for each class already.

While otw to work, i'll always be on the move. Climbing up and down moving escalators. Actually i dont care if im late either (for the office job). Just that i had to follow my mum (aka my colleague before i loses sight of her)
If its the tour job, i'll run like my life depends on it. I love that job.

WORKING/STUDYING:

School- *zones out*

Work- *shuts off brain and type away*
or
Work- *surfs internet*

ENVIRONMENT:

In school, im surrounded by fake people that pretend to care about you, and actually only think about how you can be of use to them during projects. And god they are NOISY.

In the office, im surrounded by 3 other age 50 and above aunties that rarely talk. And never ending chinese radio broadcast. And free digestive biscuits from the pantry.

At the tour, its basically town. Anywhere my students wanna go, i bring them. And sometimes i get free stuffs.

At BHG, im constantly under supervision. Like duh, im handling money.
But at least i get to watch people too.
( i like ppl watching )

AFTER WORK/SCHOOL:

School- "oh god im tired i wanna go home."

Work- "IM FREE IM GONNA GO HAVE A LIFE"

AT HOME:

School- SHIT ALL DEM PROJECTS AND TESTS.

Work- *thinks about what drama to watch after dinner*

Honestly, i like that fact that im earning. Even if its a sucky job, im still being paid.
Earning a mere $500 a month is actually difficult if you are a lazy person like me.

Not to mention that i spend a lot too. And am not getting allowance cuz IM NOT SCHOOLING.

To conclude,
Being a zombie in school is much much worse than being a zombie in the office.
At least for me.

I rather have a "after work lets go supermarket to get cheap food"  life than a "after school omg im so exhausted kill me please" life.
